<p><strong>How did you two meet or how did he propose?:</strong><br>
  We attended the same college and ironically even though we lived in the same dorm my freshman year and knew some of the same people, we didn’t actually meet until my senior year of college at one of the local bars.  I would like to say it was love at first sight, but I’m pretty sure I ran away, literally, from him three times. But thankfully Matt was very persistent and we had our first date and were inseparable there after.</p>
<p>As sweet and pure hearted as Matt is, he sometimes is not the most romantic.  That is what makes his proposal extra special. Both born and raised in Indiana, we had decided to just pick up and move across country to Arizona.  In moving we both fell in love with the mountains and hiking.  One weekend we went for a typical hike, so I thought, but upon reaching the top of the mountain, Matt got down on one knee and proposed! It was such a special moment being alone on top of a mountain surrounded by beautiful scenery. It was truly one of the most memorable moments of my life and I was so touched that he had planned such a personal proposal.</p>
<p><strong>Were you happy with the venue?:</strong><br>
  We were very happy with the San Marcos Hotel.  The courtyard was set up beautifully for the ceremony and the staff was very accommodating of all our requests.  Our wedding coordinator was also a blessing. She really helped make the wedding planning process a pleasant one and I really feel she went above and beyond the day of the wedding.  We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. </p>
<p><strong>Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception:</strong><br>
  Our wedding theme was craft beer as Matt and I both have a deep love for craft beers.  Almost all decoration aspects of our wedding were beer focused and our colors were tan and green for the colors of the beer and hops. Our centerpieces were beer growlers filled with fresh flowers, seating arrangements were written on beer bottles, and our kissing game used beer bottle caps.  Matt even brewed his own beer to give as a party favor and made his boutonniere out of fresh hops.</p>
<p><strong>What piece of advice would you give other brides planning their big day?:</strong><br>
  The biggest piece of advice I can give is enjoy the process.  It is so easy to get overwhelmed in the planning, but don’t be afraid to ask for help!  I was so surprised and humbled at how willing friends and family were to help me in planning and coordinating the wedding and in the beginning I denied the help, but soon realized that I needed it.  It really is true what everyone says that you spend so much time planning the wedding and the day goes by in a blink of the eye. So remember to take in those special moments, enjoy the process, and enjoy your day! </p>
