  Honeymoon: <strong>We did a few days in Sedona right after our wedding to decompress at the Hilton. We will be heading on an international adventure this coming fall! Destination tbd.</strong></p>
<p><strong>How did you two meet or how did you propose?: </strong><br>
   Lee is always surprising me with the most amazing thought and effort. We were on a holiday in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico at an Excellence resort when he proposed. He acted so cool on the way there, no hiccups with his luggage, no sweat beads coming down going through security so I had no idea it was coming. Every evening we would take a nice stroll on the beach before dinner. On this particular evening there was a long pier set up with a romantic tent at the end and dinner table for two. There was a harp player and candles and it looked so romantic. I commented on how beautiful it was and Lee responded by saying that that was our table for the evening. We walked down the pier and the waitress was waiting to seat us. We were seated by her and immediately after that Lee basically bum-tapped the seat and got down on one knee and proposed! The waitress was just posing as a waitress- she was actually a photographer and as soon as Lee stood up and got on bended knee she started snapping pictures! it was out of a movie! I was surprised, stunned, overjoyed and amazed all at the same time. We laughed, we cried, we smiled ear to ear! We then called our parents and told them the great news with the harp player going full force in the background. Side note: Lee flew all the way to the East coast of Canada to ask my fathers permission a month or so in advance, so they were waiting with baited breath!</p>
<p><strong>How did you find your venue? Were you happy with it?:</strong> <br>
   My parents winter in Scottsdale every year and we visit them often. We knew we wanted to go away somewhere close to Calgary, AB and beautiful that was reliant for the weather. Honestly, we looked at a few places in Scottsdale The Mccormick being the first one. The second we met with Debby Gatz we knew we would be back. She was so accommodating in every way. She said she could make anything happen for us and help us to have the wedding of our dreams. And she did! She was not only amazing to work with, her and her team really went the extra mile. We were so impressed with everything she and her team did for us.</p>
<p><strong>Describe the theme or color schem</strong><strong>e of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception: <br>
</strong>The theme was light pink and steel blue with pops of gold. We went with gold plate chargers, gold chivaris and hints of pastels. Light light pink flowers with white and greens complimented the tables as well. We wanted everything to feel romantic and lovely. The bridesmaids wore a pale pale pink and the groomsmen wore a stunning steel blue. We hand made little cactus name card holders out of air dry clay and painted them pastel blue, pink, green and yellow. They turned out adorable! </p>
<p><strong>What piece of advice would you give other couples planning their big day?: </strong><br>
   Just enjoy it. It’s a time in your life where everyone is behind you and supporting you and showing you so much love. Don’t stress over the small things and just go with it. Expect to be surprised by what you thought you would pick versus what you end up picking! Enjoy every moment and trust your gut.</p>
