It was his first day and I was going to be his trainer for the next two weeks. Initially, I didn't like him very much but it was pretty obvious that he was "hot for teacher"! Once the class was over, we started to chit chat and become friends. Our first date was a Diamondbacks game on June 22nd. We began dating after that but since we worked together, we decided to keep our relationship a secret until we knew where it was going. I have to admit, we had a lot of fun sneaking around, passing little looks at each other...a smile here, a wink there. But eventually, we let everyone in on our little secret. To say they were shocked would be an understatement!

Tell us about your venue.
We absolutely loved Villa Tuscana and the ladies that work there! They are amazing! One of the things that makes Villa Tuscana so great is they have everything right there at your fingertips. Food, cake, DJ, photographer, flowers and the table set ups. They make it as painless as possible!

How did he propose?
Adam proposed on November 4th, we had gone over to our friend’s house for dinner. Adam kept trying to get me to check out their BBQ, smoker and pizza oven but I was pre-occupied with one of their twins. He was very adamant that I had to check out the smoker and that I really needed to lift the lid to see how heavy it was. I really didn’t care, it was a smoker. I had seen it several times so why would I care to see it again. He kept pushing the issue so I finally handed off the baby and tried to lift the lid. Only I didn’t lift it the whole way. I lifted it just enough to feel how heavy it was and then I closed it again. I thought Adam was going to have a heart attack. He started saying “No! No! No! You have to lift it the entire way to really get the full effect of it!” At this point, I was beginning to think he was drunk so just to appease him and get him to be quiet I walked back over and lifted the lid. Much to my surprise, there sat a little red box with a red ribbon tied around it. I stared at it for a few seconds wondering if it was actually a ring or if it was a pair of earrings or a necklace. I would have appreciated it no matter what it turned out to be but I didn’t want a look of disappointment on my face if it wasn’t a ring. Adam had waited long enough so finally he said “would you please open the box already?” I opened it up to find the most beautiful engagement ring I could ever imagine. I always thought I would be the type of girl to go running and jump into my fiancés arms, squealing like a little school girl with excitement but no. I started bawling like a baby! So much so he had to wait for me to calm down to officially ask me to marry him. We were married 6 months later and it was the best day of my life. So if you’re doing the math, we barely knew each other for a year and had only been dating for 10 ½ months before we were married. I’ve always heard the saying, ‘you know when you know’ but I never believed it……until now!

What one piece of advice would you give other Brides planning their big day?
My advice for future brides: Something will go wrong on your wedding day. Accept it. No matter how small or how large it might be just remember that the only thing that matters at the end of the day is that you married the love of your life. When you’re at the reception, take a minute to yourself and just look around the room and let it all soak in. And last but not least, if people offer to help with something, let them!

<?php if (file_exists($DOCUMENT_ROOT."/includes/footer-weddings.php")) { include_once($DOCUMENT_ROOT."/includes/footer-weddings.php"); } else { header("location: /error.php"); } ?>
