From the second we met, there was an instant connection. It was one of those "love at first sight" moments. We spent the evening talking and playing pool at a local bar. We've been inseparable ever since.

Ingham proposed to me in October of 2012 on a romantic weekend away in Flagstaff. It was a beautiful Fall weekend where the leaves were changing and the weather was gorgeous. He proposed to me on a hike that Friday afternoon in Walnut Canyon.

Were you happy with the venue? We were very happy with the venue. Ingham and I wanted our wedding to feel like a very intimate experience for us as well as our guests. It was also very important that the wedding have a classic "Prescott" setting. The Hassayampa Inn was the ideal location to accomplish both goals. Set in the heart of downtown Prescott, you are nestled right on the historic courthouse square. From vistas of Thumb Butte to the red brickwork of the Inn, the setting makes for incredible photo ops. Also, the venue is really flexible in that they offer many locales to have the ceremony and the reception both indoors and outdoors.

Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception: We had planned a late September wedding date since Fall is our favorite time of the year. Autumn and the associated colors were the main theme. The flowers for the ceremony featured a lot of magnolia leaves with green and brown accents. The Matron of Honor wore a latte colored dress. We wanted the guests to experience a transformation as they left the ceremony seating and entered the Marina Room for the reception. Gold chiavari chairs circled each table which were covered with golden brocade linens. The flowers for each centerpiece kept the main color pallet of soft browns and greens but were infused with bright pops of orange and red.

What piece of advice would you give other brides planning their big day? Accept all the help that is offered to you during the planning process. If you can budget for an event planner, I highly recommend hiring one. If family, bridesmaids, and friends are willing to pitch in, delegate certain tasks to them. I was very fortunate in having a lot of support from my wedding planner, Matron of Honor, my fiance, and especially my mother. The last thing you want is to have to worry about any last minute details or something going wrong during your special day. The more support you have, the better.

Tell us about your photographer. Why did you choose this photographer? Were you happy with the whole experience? Brooke-Stevens-Patrick of Brooke Photography was very professional but made us feel at ease the moment we met. We chose her as our photographer because she made us feel very comfortable and we were impressed by her previous work on other weddings. Brooke has a very creative eye for detail and was willing to blend more traditional wedding shots with the modern. Brooke was very communicative and responsive at quickly turning around the finished photos both after our engagement shoot and the wedding. We were very pleased with her work.

<?php if (file_exists($DOCUMENT_ROOT."/includes/footer-weddings.php")) { include_once($DOCUMENT_ROOT."/includes/footer-weddings.php"); } else { header("location: /error.php"); } ?>
