Jeremy asked me to dance and then came back looking for me the next weekend. This time he arrived all decked out in a cowboy style hat, boots and all! We hit it off from there dancing, laughing and talking the rest of the night right there on that dance floor.

Tell us about your venue.
Amara Resort & Spa was amazing, beyond accommodating and absolutely gorgeous to say the least! Amara has a gorgeous backdrop and very intimate feel. I always thought I would have a gigantic wedding but that all changed when I saw the unique appeal and very personal feel and special touch Amara had! Trees, grass, flowers, birds, scenery, water and more! April was beyond words exceptional the whole way through! April went the extra mile and was on top of it the entire way through from beginning to end! We had a Mexican-style buffet and a signature drink which was a prickly pear margarita available from a margarita fountain in the outside courtyard. The service is the highest of quality and every bit about the hotel and the way it is arranged makes it so special for the bride, groom and wedding party and guests. It has a beautiful green grass courtyard with a stunning view of the red rocks and then access to the gorgeous creek below for stunning and romantic pictures. The bridal suite is wonderful for preparation and pictures the day of with an awesome jacuzzi tub giant balcony, and plenty of space… great for the bride and her gals! They accommodate you the entire time with room blocks available. They also have a place with beautiful fireplaces and patio seating that is wonderful for an elegant happy hour and social time!

Describe the theme and color scheme of your wedding.
The theme was sweethearts (we had little hearts all over and a few little white doves to go with them!) Our colors... sunset red, yellow and orange. Then since we went with my favorite colors you will see right in the middle of my bouquet and on his corsage we tied in his favorite color which was lavender. I did this also on our cake which was a topsy-turvy (Mad Hatter) cake with red, yellow, orange and black hearts on white and then two little lavender hearts interwoven together at the top. This was my way of letting my husband know how much I loved him and that this was our day by including both of our colors in special ways!

One thing you learned?
Be very careful as to who you decide to include in your wedding (this includes bachelorette party, bridal party, as well as guests). Don’t just invite or include people out of obligation or trying to please your guests… this is your day…. do it your way because your true friends will be the ones standing there for you in the end no matter what!

<?php if (file_exists($DOCUMENT_ROOT."/includes/footer-weddings.php")) { include_once($DOCUMENT_ROOT."/includes/footer-weddings.php"); } else { header("location: /error.php"); } ?>
